- Type \\acfiles\pcnfs
and click on OK.
- In the \\acfiles\pcnfs
window you will see "keyaccess" folder. Open it. Copy the four files
that you see in your "C:\windows" directory.
- Next, there is a folder
labeled "old" inside the "keyaccess" folder. Open this folder and copy
the contents of it into your "C:\windows" directory as well.
Now to Install Exceed:
- With \\acfiles\pcnfs
still open, open the "exceed95" folder.
- Next, open "userins".
- Double click on the"setup"
icon inside of the userins folder, NOT setup2. When the setup programs
starts, choose OK.
- Leave the home directory
set to the default.
- Change the user directory
to C:\exceed95\user.
- If you are asked if
you want to install Hummingbird TCP/IP, Hummingbird NFS, and NFS for Microsoft
TCP/IP, deselect all of them. That is, make sure that none of them are checked.
(You may not be asked to do this.)
- If you are asked to
choose a transport interface, choose Windows Socket API. (Again, you may not
be asked to do this.)
- Make sure that the
keyboard file is us.kbf (this should be the default).
- Choose skip
when asked to choose a Xconfig Password.
- You may also be asked
to tune the xserver client. Skip this option as well.
