Topics: The conference will consist of two plenary one-hour lectures and sessions for contributed talks. Participants are invited to contribute talks on Algebra, combinatorics number theory and related topics
  Principal Speaker:
Arun Ram (University of Wisconsin) will give 2 talks on crystals.
  Contributed Talks: There will be sessions of contributed talks. Deadline for submission of abstracts for contributed talks is: March 1, 2002. For details on how to submit your abstract see abstract form.
 

Abstracts: For a file containing the abstracts for both the plenary lectures and the contributed talks click here. (Corrections should be sent to kuz@wfu.edu) The schedule is now available.

  Hotel Information: Blocks of rooms have been reserved at two local hotels. The Courtyard by Marriott, 3111 University Parkway, is available for $77 a night. You may contact the Courtyard directly at (336) 727-1277. The Ramada Plaza, 3050 University Parkway, is available at $69 a night. You may contact the Ramada at (336) 723-2911. In either case, be sure to mention that you are with the Mid-Atlantic Algebra Conference (MAAC) to book the special rate. The hotels have set a deadline of March 1, 2002, for these rates.

Location of Lectures: You may pick up a schedule of talks and local information in the top floor lounge (Room 310) of Calloway Hall (#20 on the campus map). All talks will be given in Room 17 of Calloway Hall. The first talk will tenatively start at 9:00am, but it would be wise to consult the schedule.
  Parking: If you like to walk, the distance from Ramada and Courtyard to the meeting site is a little less than a mile. Since the meeting is on a weekend during spring break, there should be adequate parking on campus. You may park in any of the lots near Calloway Hall (see campus map), but some may be closed due to campus construction, which will start in February.
