Updates on status of the hiring process:

We will be using this page to update our applicants on the status of our hiring process. We have had over 200 applications for this position and have been very impressed with the overall quality. Sorting through them has been a challenge. As we make progress we will add updates to the following:

  • February 1-20: During the month of February we have been doing some telephone interviews with a handful of promising candidates. We will continue to look at more recent applications until the position is filled.
  • February 20, 2008: We are pleased to announce that funding is now approved to hire two people. We will also be able to reduce the teaching load from 3-3 to 2-2.
  • February 22, 2008: Over the next week we hope to narrow the list further so that we can invite several people for on campus interviews.
  • March 3: Several candidates have been invited for on-campus interviews.
  • March 31: One position has been filled and we have invited two more people to interview.
  • April 18: Both positions are now filled.
